Iwasaki Bros., Inc. was founded in 1916 as a dairy farm by B.Y. (Billy) Iwasaki along with his three sons George, Ike, and Art. The dairy farm became a vegetable farm supplying the local community and canneries.
In the 1930’s the family added bedding plants to their garden vegetable and produce. Today, Iwasaki Bros., Inc. is under the direction of James (Jim) Iwasaki, owner and general manager along with daughters Theresa and Julie. Iwasaki Bros., Inc. has become one of the Northwest's largest wholesale growers of bedding plants.
In addition, each fall Iwasaki Bros., Inc. produces a holiday line, which includes poinsettias, wreaths, garlands, and swags. As a committed leader to our industry, we strive to provide our customers with high quality products, shipping from our nursery in Hillsboro, Oregon, to local retail stores in 1-2 days, providing the end user a fresh, well grown plant or product.
With retail customers across the Pacific Northwest, Iwasaki Bros. has been offering a complete line of annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetable, and hanging baskets for over one hundred years!
Iwasaki Bros., Inc. has strived to be ahead of the curve, installing SOLAR paneling at our facility, running 116kW of photovoltaic solar panels to produce a portion of electricity for our business.
As of 2018, Iwasaki Bros., Inc. have partnered with the Oregon Bee Project, to learn and apply bee conservation for aiding the bee population for future generations.
